[AfricaRealities.com] Re: [MigrantCause.com] Rubbish Ed Miliband was heavily defeated because of lack of understanding of many economic and social issues

Ed Milband could have made a difference if he had attacked David Cameron 's political discrimination against Scottish People and SNP.

Ed Miliband could have made a difference if he had explained what  his exclusive and discriminatory " working people" slogan means to ordinary people, unemployed people, over 50s people, students, disabled people and ethnic minority people.

Rubbish  Ed Miliband was heavily defeated because of lack of understanding of many economic and socal issues:

·      Did Ed Miliband  not see that nationalism applies to both in Scotland and England. Did warn voters about this trend that contributed to his defeat  instead of focusing on SNP?
·      Does he really understand inequality and poverty issues in the developed world ?
·      Has he never met  people who are struggling to pay rents  which has consistently increased for the last 3 years?
·      Does he know the poor quality of housing in the UK ( both private and social housing) and that ethnic minority and disadvantaged people are the ones who rent or are offered  houses of poor quality?
·      Has he never met over 50 years old people who are struggling to get a job because of discrimination based on old age ?
·      Did he really say enough about food bank, fuel poverty, malnutrition  and child poverty ?
·      Does he understand that  fuel poverty, malnutrition and poor diet contribute to putting more pressure on NHS services?
·      Did he say enough about poor education in public schools and that children from rich families are likely to do better at school than children from families of low incomes?
·      Did he really say enough about low-wages, for example where carers  ( many of them from migrants and BME communities ) who wash and feed older people are paid only £6/hours?

Why was the Labour Party heavily defeated in the General Elections?

In 10 points, the Labour Party was defeated because:

1. The Labour Party does not listen to its members. No comments or suggestions from a party member is recognised or responded to. The Labour Party is an arrogant Party.

2. The Party failed to  explain  the critics against it, especially in relation to economic performance which was largely influenced by the global economic crisis.

3. The  strategy of 'working families" did not work for the families. This strategy seems to suggest that Labour Party does not care about  ethnic minority people, disadvantaged people, unemployed people , older and  disabled  people  who  can't work because of various reasons including disability and discrimination. The impact of Cameron 's austerity was lacking in the  Labour Party's campaign.

4. The Party campaigned a lot about NHS as an institution rather than campaigning about the people that institution serves.

5. The reduction of university tuition fees was not included the  Labours' promises  carved in stone.

6. The Party was involved in  humiliating, discrimination and arrogance campaign against the Scottish People, especially the SNP.

7. There was no difference between  the Conservatives' Policies and Labour's Policies about immigration and the economy. Ending austerity was not clearly outlined as one of the Labour's  Policies.

8. The SNP has been  accused of being 'nationalist ' by Ed Miliband. However, this election shows that Ed Miliband's defeat was caused by the rise of 'nationalism' in England. Ed Miliband failed to  fight  against this  trend.

9. Women were absent in Labour  Party Campaign ( including the Deputy Leader).

10. Labour Campaign  was an 'elite' campaign that did not  engage with grassroots activists, unemployed people, people on zero-hour contracts, the disadvantaged and working people.
